ANIMA

One of the many uniquenesses of abstraction is that everyone finds their own message, their own close forms, shapes, and impressions in the painting. My message for this painting is ANIMA – a soul that has just chosen its new body and is flying to and into it with cosmic joy and speed. I am sometimes amused by how everyone sees something different in the painting. As soon as a new pair of eyes saw the image, many versions were heard such as rabbit, turtle, bird, tadpole, and sperm. At least the sperm was close to my interpretation ;-)…
(note on the chosen form of hanging the picture – it is an abstraction, so I do not insist on whether the picture is hung in landscape or portrait, it is ultimately up to the collector)
