INTO THE CORE OF THE EARTH

45,000

Touch the earth, feel the earth, her plains, her valleys, her hills, and her seas; rest your spirit in her solitary places.

  • Henry Beston
The name of this painting is connected to what I’ve been going through after my partner left for a long business journey. During his absence, I was diving deeper and deeper into my inner self.

During that time we got a female puppy, and I got a feeling, that thanks to her everyday presence, she started to opening me the unrecognized horizons. Not only those in me but also the ones in nature. For me, they are the indefinite well of inspiration and passion. I felt like a small child, that is melting above every small flower and grass that is shivering in the wind. I was observing everything with awe that was opening me to more and more tenderness, sympathy and belonging.
The painting went through so many phases, that when I’m now looking back at them now, I’m in awe how could I allow it to happen so many times. I’m remembering almost every moment when I was observing different colors and angels. I was always impressed by specific details, but I was missing the wow effect when looking at it as a whole. It was not giving me the satisfaction, that I need to feel as with the painting, so within me as a human being.

Then, in a very specific moment, when I was almost saying goodbye to it and was determined to start all over again, I made a swing with my hand and brush and I saw the painting in its wholeness. Its story came to an end.
