BUDDLEIA, known in Latin as the butterfly bush, is for me a combination of a strong emotion toward my father and, as usual, toward butterflies and nature. My dad is nearing eighty and, thankfully, he is in good health. He was the one who first showed me the butterfly bush when I was little, and he used to draw butterflies for me in letters he sent to my summer camp. When I think of the butterfly bush today, it carries a feeling of love for my father.
