FIRST AND LAST SNOW

I started this theme sometime in November with the first snowfall. I then let the painting rest for about two months and returned to it about a month ago, when the snow began to melt and it turned out that the winter was better than expected, just like in my childhood days 👼.

I wanted the painting to capture that joy in the heart and the flutter in the stomach when the first snowflakes fall. The first snow usually melts after a few days and the roads turn gray again, and that is when everything feels a bit more nostalgic, simply life as it is.

This year, after almost 20 years, I sat on a sled with my 3 year old grandson, and it was wonderful. My bottom got properly shaken up and we fell over a few times too, winter fun just the way it should be.
