Last year we somehow did not make it on vacation due to some mysterious circumstances, but I am enjoying it all the more this year, when I already know exactly the date and where we are going, and it will once again be our beloved Croatia. The area is full of small islands where we go for a bit of private time, and it is simply that kind of laid back relaxation, swimming, painting on an open canvas, ants that bite my delicate backside while I paint. The painting is a view from an island toward the mainland. It is that notoriously familiar view when we return by boat from one of the small islands.
